Deep Within Each Human Heart
Sin is a personal act which is offensive to God. It occurs when you say, act or seek something contrary to the Divine eternal order. You the creature, place your desires above the Will and Goodness of your Creator. Simply put, you become self-reliant and take control of your destiny rather than trusting in God.
Where does sin come from?
It comes from deep inside each human heart where God gave you the "ability" to make your own decisions. Within your free will exists the thoughts and beliefs which influence how you answer the all-important question:
Should I focus on myself, or should I turn to and love God with my whole heart and my neighbor as myself?
The latter is God's eternal order.... The Author of Life knows you can only experience "genuine happiness" if you desire what is good for those beyond yourself. And it starts when you love the One Who is Good.
Therefore, sin is a personal choice to reject the ways of God's love.
Do not underestimate The Power of Sin in your life because it is rooted in "lies" you accepted, and they are entangled in the complexity of your mind. This explains why you do things you know you should not and do not do things you know you should. By embracing these falsehoods, you have enabled Sin to quietly attach its deadly chains to enslave you and attack your God given identity.
In the spiritual battle, the Devil is hiding behind these deceptions.
Your "true freedom" is only possible through Divine intervention.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.
John 3:16
Jesus has defeated Satan, Sin, and Death through His crucifixion and resurrection.
It is essential to avoid trying to break the chains of Sin by yourself.
If you want to experience the fullness of God's love for you, you must repent of your sins and reject the lies behind them.
This can only happen by trusting Jesus and allowing Him to renew your mind with the "Truth of God's Love."

"Lies" attack your identity of being created in the image and likeness of God to be loved. These falsehoods point you away from trusting the Goodness of your Creator. Instead, they are the words the "father of lies" uses to deceive you and quietly enable sin to take root in your heart.

Your life hinges on whether the voices of your world direct you away from God or do they reinforce the "Truth" about God's unconditional love for you.
Most likely you have people in your life you are close to but if some of them are knowingly or inadvertently repeating falsehoods, then they can actually contribute to your unwillingness to trust in the Goodness of God.
Ultimately, your environment will never provide you with lasting happiness.
Only God can.

Jesus acknowledged the existence of the Serpent and called him, "Satan."
Tradition states the Evil One is a spiritual being known as, the father of lies. He is envious of you being a reflection of the Creator. When you embrace the deceiver’s falsehoods, the forces of Sin enslave and control you.
On the other hand, the Devil is "powerless" when confronted by Jesus, the Son of God, Who is Truth.
And He knows it.

Most people will tell you, they rely on their own interior voice, maybe let others sway them, and do not believe in the Devil or he only influences bad people.
This approach is the pathway to why things are so messed up because it revolves around self, rather than the One Who knows the "Way" to true happiness.
Important decisions easily become about satisfying your ego’s agenda to justify your viewpoint on an issue or situation. This leads to your interior ground becoming fertile for lies to take root.
So, self-reliance takes you nowhere.
There is Another Voice!
You hear it when you encounter Jesus, the Spoken Word of God.
He is Perfect Love.
Authority over all of creation. Wisdom for a broken world.
His Voice altered the trajectory of human history, and His Name heals wounded souls.
You will discover the joy of "true freedom" when you listen to Jesus.
Jesus Will Set You Free!
Sin is Powerless When Confronted by God's Love
God created "you" out of love to be loved.
That is your identity and why you were created.
Free will is essential for you to be able to love Him in return.
This means you also have the capacity to turn away from Him when you sin.
This ability to choose comes with immense personal responsibility and eternal implications.
The Good News is you do not need to be alone on the spiritual battlefield within your heart.
You have an invincible Divine Warrior Who is waiting to lead you to victory.
God's love is faithful, perfect and desires what is good for you.
As promised in Genesis 3:15, God sent His Only Son to rescue you.
and Jesus said,
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.”
God has kept His promise by sending Jesus to rescue you!
